LaserWriter II is a novel set in the 90’s at the legendary Macintosh repair shop: Tekserve. The book follows a shy 19-year-old girl, and along the way it reveals the inner workings of Tekserve, laser printers, and the art of repair.

I don't know what a LaserWriter II is.
LaserWriter II was a monochrome laser printer manufactured by Apple. It connected via LocalTalk and had built-in PostScript with crisp 300dpi resolution. The printer was sturdy as a tank and brings to mind the Livermore Light Bulb.

Tamara Shopsin is the author of the novel LaserWriter II, published by MCD Books. She is also an illustrator and graphic designer who cooks pancakes on a 1-inch thick griddle. She lives mostly in New York and sometimes Scranton. Oranges are her favorite food.
